Does this happen to you?

  • You ask yourself before every session: is today a good pain day or a bad one?
  • You used to hit PRs. Now you modify every workout.
  • You hesitate under every heavy set, bracing for something to go wrong.
  • You stopped calling it pain. You started calling it just how your body is.
  • PT, chiro, massage. One week of relief, then it comes back.
  • You're scrolling Instagram watching everyone else hit PRs while you're stuck.
This isn't for you if you want a quick fix or another round of Copy-Paste Rehab band exercises. This is the bridge rehab never built. You'll have to do the work.
Inside the playbook

5 beliefs that change how you train through pain.

01

You're treating pain, not the problem.

Your knee hurts. They treat your knee. But no one asks what changed in your training before pain showed up.

02

Your body compensates before it fails.

Pain doesn't mean you're weak. It means your body has been protecting you for a long time. By the time pain shows up, compensation has been happening for weeks or months.

03

Pain-free does not mean ready to train.

Rehab ends when daily activity feels fine. That's a long way from 80% loading, repeated hard sets, and training under fatigue.

04

You were never shown how to return to training.

There's supposed to be a bridge between rehab discharge and full training. Most rehab ends before it's built.

05

Training IS the rehab.

You don't stop training to heal. You train differently, with intent. Load gets managed. Confidence gets rebuilt through exposure.

Who wrote this

I built what I wished I had.

I'm Gabe. I lived with back pain for 5 years. I couldn't stand for 5 minutes, couldn't do dishes, couldn't train.

Training was my anchor. I was losing it.

Every professional I saw treated the back. The back wasn't the problem. They'd fix the pain for a week, then it'd come back. Every time.

Then I found the right mentors. The ones who got that for a lifter, training is the rehab. Rehab stops when you can walk upstairs. I discharge when you're back under real load, pain-free.

This playbook is everything I wish someone had handed me at the start.

Gabe.

The problem was never your pain. It was looking for the answer in the wrong places.
