The REBUILD Approach™

Get back to the training you love without pain dictating what you can do.

For lifters tired of modifying workouts, avoiding lifts, and wondering how to get from "rehab" back to actual strength training.

You don't need to figure out which REBUILD program is right for you.

I'll show you where I'd start based on your training, what you've already tried, and how much support you need.

Stuck between rehab and training?

You can train. You just don't trust what happens when you start pushing again.

Maybe you've already done the rehab exercises. You've rested. Stretched. Changed your technique. Modified your program. Seen a physio or a chiropractor.

And maybe some of it helped.

But you're still making training decisions around what might hurt.

  • You avoid certain lifts.
  • You keep loads lighter than you want.
  • You swap exercises every time something feels off.
  • You spend half your warm-up trying to feel "ready."

Not injured enough to stop training.

Not confident enough to train the way you want.

That's the gap REBUILD was built for.

The problem

Feeling better isn't the same as being ready to train.

A lot of rehab ends when symptoms improve. For a lifter, that's not always the finish line.

You still have to bridge the gap between:

Where rehab stops"This doesn't hurt as much anymore."
Where training starts"I trust myself to load this again."

That takes more than collecting exercises. It takes a progression.

REBUILD is built around that progression.

The REBUILD Approach™

A clear path back to training.

01

Reveal

Understand what's limiting your training right now.

We look at the bigger picture: your training history, what you've already tried, how you move, what happens under load, and what you're trying to get back to.

02

Reset

Rebuild the foundation.

Cut the unnecessary complexity, open up your movement options, build confidence, and start loading your body in ways you can tolerate and progress.

03

Rebuild

Turn the foundation back into training.

Load goes up gradually. The lifts that matter progress. Confidence builds as the demands go up, and rehab slowly stops being something you need.

Reveal is the individual assessment, and it happens in 1:1. Foundations and Teams start at Reset.

Real comebacks

What "back to training" actually looks like.

Lifters I've coached through the REBUILD Approach.

Étienne

11 years of back pain. Back to training he'd stopped doing.

Where he started
Eleven years of back pain and a string of practitioners. Every rehab plan helped for about a week.
What changed
We reset his position and breathing, then loaded squats, bench, and deadlifts and progressed them week to week. He kept lifting the whole time.
Where he is now
By week 12, back to training he hadn't touched in years, without the 40-minute warm-up.
Amy

Couldn't walk her dogs. Back under the bar.

Where she started
Her back got so bad she couldn't walk her dogs. Four months out of the gym, after seeing multiple people.
What changed
We found how her body was shifting and compensating, dealt with that first, then built her back into training.
Where she is now
Walking the dogs, doing kettlebell swings, training again. In her words: "I'm back."
Greg

7 years stuck. Past his old numbers in 3.5 months.

Where he started
Train hard, get hurt, three months off, start over. Seven years chasing the numbers he had at 30.
What changed
Work capacity first. Then progressive overload his connective tissue could actually handle.
Where he is now
Hitting numbers he hadn't seen since 30, with more energy after training than before it.

In French with English subtitles.

Liz

Pain and leg numbness. Back to lifting.

Where she started
Four months of pain and leg numbness. She could barely bend forward, and chiro wasn't shifting it.
What changed
Single-side and rotational work so one side stopped carrying everything, then two-sided lifting layered back in.
Where she is now
Bending forward comfortably again and back in the gym lifting, the thing she came here for.
Liz's message about her recovery

Individual results vary. Everyone's body, history, and effort are different, so I can't promise you their outcomes.

Why I built REBUILD

I know what it's like to get stuck here.

I'm Gabe. Kinesiologist, lifter, and creator of the REBUILD Approach™.

I spent over five years training around a herniated disc with nerve symptoms running down my leg.

Gabe on the floor during rehab

Rehab phase. Every week. For years.

I learned plenty of rehab exercises. I learned how to make things feel better for a while.

But the question I kept running into was: how do I actually get back to training?

Not just moving. Not just doing rehab.Training.

That gap became the foundation for REBUILD. Today I use the same process to help lifters get out of that middle ground and build back toward the things they actually want to do.

Different people need different levels of support

There's more than one way to REBUILD.

Some lifters need a clear place to start. Some want coaching while they progress. Others need something built around their individual situation. That's why REBUILD isn't one single program.

Self-guided

REBUILD Foundations™

A four-week starting point for lifters who want a clear system they can follow on their own.

Best if you're thinking

"Give me the starting point. I'll do the work myself."

Coached

REBUILD Teams™

A 16-week coached progression for lifters who want a clear path back toward strength training, with feedback and adjustments along the way.

Best if you're thinking

"Give me the system and coach me through it."

Individualized

REBUILD 1:1™

Higher-touch coaching for lifters whose history, limitations, training, and goals need something built around them.

Best if you're thinking

"I need something built around my situation."

Not sure which one fits? That's what the Roadmap is for.

Not sure where you should start?

I'll show you where I'd start.

You shouldn't have to diagnose your own problem or guess which level of support you need. Answer a few quick questions about:

  • How you're training right now
  • What happens when something doesn't feel right
  • What you've already tried
  • How much support you want
  • What you're trying to get back to

Then I'll show you which REBUILD path I'd recommend based on where you're at right now. Takes about 2 minutes.

REBUILD is a training and coaching approach. The Roadmap is an educational tool. Neither diagnoses injuries or tells you what's causing your pain, and neither replaces an assessment with a health professional. If your symptoms are new, severe, or getting worse, get them checked.
