I flattened my own foot on camera
Stand up for a second and look at your feet. There's probably an arch there.
Now bring your weight forward, like you're about to start a squat or step into a lunge. Watch what happens.
Same foot. Nothing about the structure changed.
The arch dropped because your weight came forward over it.
That's what a lot of flat feet are. Not necessarily a foot problem. Your centre of mass is sitting too far over the foot, and the foot flattens under it.
I'm not saying throw out your orthotics.
If they help, there's a reason you keep wearing them.
But if you've been buying insoles, doing toe crunches and all the footwork, and the same flat foot keeps coming back, I'd want to know what's actually flattening it.
So instead of working on the arch, I'd move your weight back.
Try it for a couple of weeks, then check your arch again.
Hope you're moving well and brewing better. ☕
