Stop stretching. Kidding. Sort of.

You stretch your hips before squatting because they feel tight.

It helps, so you keep doing it.

But if you’ve been doing the same stretch for a year and still need it before every session, I’d want to know what we’re missing.

I’m not saying you have to stop stretching. If it feels good, there’s a reason you keep coming back to it.

I just wouldn’t assume you need more flexibility because your hips feel tight.

I’d want to watch you squat. See what movement you have available at your hips and what changes when we adjust your setup or the exercise.

That gives us something to work with beyond adding another hip stretch to your warmup.
